Yamazaki got a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in 2014, did a postdoc at Washington State University and University of Rochester. Between 2019-2023, he was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University. Since 2023, he has been a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research is primarily analysis on stochastic partial differential equations from fluid mechanics and mathematical physics such as the Navier-Stokes equations, surface quasi-geostrophic equations, and magnetohydrodynamics system.
