  • Frédéric Hérau, CNRS and Université de Nantes, France

Short bio: Frédéric Hérau is Professor at Nantes Université and works in the field of partial differential equations and mathematical physics. He specializes in the long-time behavior (hypocoercivity) and regularity (hypoellipticity) of solutions to kinetic equations, as well as the spectral theory of magnetic Schrödinger equations in various geometries.
He was director of the Fédération de Recherche Mathématiques des Pays de Loire and of the thematic network DynQua (quantum dynamics). Frédéric Hérau was a scientific advisor to the Haut Conseil de l'évaluation de la recherche et de l'enseignement supérieur (Hcéres), in charge of steering evaluations of mathematical french laboratories and of the national report of synthesis and prospective on French Mathematics published in 2022. He is currently deputy scientific director in charge of Europe and international affairs at the Institut national des sciences mathématiques et de leurs interactions (CNRS Mathématics - Insmi).

  • Phan Thành Nam, LMU Munich, Germany

Short bio: Phan Thanh Nam is a Professor at LMU Munich, working in analysis and mathematical physics. His research focuses on the mathematical theory of large quantum systems from an analytical point of view, often leading to interesting questions in functional analysis, spectral theory, and partial differential equations. In the context of Schrödinger operators, he is particularly interested in Lieb-Thirring-type inequalities for orthogonal systems and related asymptotic estimates for eigenvalues.
