Short Bio:

Alexander Ostermann is a full professor at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He previously served two terms as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics, and also held the position of Head of the Department of Mathematics at various times. His research interests include Numerical Analysis, Differential Equations, Engineering Mathematics, and Geometry. He is a world-leading expert in time integration methods for partial differential equations (PDEs). He is also a great teacher who has graduated 20 PhD students and about 60 MSc students.
