Objective:
As part of its commitment to outreach and professional training, the ISI has agreed to co-sponsor a series of three short courses in Vietnam. These courses will be delivered by world-class experts with recognised international standing in the field.
The program is designed to provide participants with statistical tools applicable to a wide range of real-world problems, from data-driven decision-making in the environment to evidence-based policy development and scientific research. Each course will combine theoretical foundations with hands-on exercises, ensuring participants gain both conceptual understanding and applied skills.
By making this high-quality training accessible in Vietnam, the ISI aims to strengthen local capacity in statistical thinking and practice, foster professional connections, and contribute to the global exchange of knowledge.
Program Information:
Venues: Ho Chi Minh City (week 1), Vinh (week 2), Hanoi (week 3)
- Week 1: November 4-7 at Campus B, University of Ho Chi Minh City, 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Dien Hong ward, Ho Chi Minh City
- Week 2: November 11-14 at Vinh University, No. 182 Le Duan street, Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An province.
- Week 3: November 18-21 at Vietnam Academy of Finance, No. 58, Le Van Hien St., Dong Ngac Wrd., Hanoi.
- Public lecture by Prof. Kerrie Mengersen: November 24, 2025 at the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), 161 Huynh Thuc Khang Street, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
